Booking Terms & Conditions

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your booking with Eventide Lodge! We look forward to hosting you!

  1. DEPOSIT
    We will require a 50% deposit to secure your booking.
    This deposit must be made into our bank account and a proof of payment must be returned to us by e-mail at eventidelodge@gmail.com

  2. BALANCE
    Payable in full before or on arrival.

  3. PAYMENT
    Payment can be made by cash, EFT or credit card. We accept Visa and Master Cards only. No cheques.

  4. ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE
    Please ensure that you provide correct information regarding the amount of people, the room type selected and dates for your stay before you confirm the booking as we shall not be liable for any errors or mistakes made by you in this regard. Precise dates of arrival, departure and number of guests, as per Confirmed Reservation, will be charged for. There is NO refund or reduction in the total costs of stay quoted in
    respect of a late arrival, early departure, or change in number of guests.

  5. ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE TIMES
    Arrival: 14:00
    Departure: No later than10 am.

  6. PETS
    Strictly no pets allowed.

  7. TOWELS
    Bath and hand towels are provided in all chalets. However, guests are requested to bring their own swimming towels as the lodge towels are under no circumstances to be used at the pool.

  8. SAFETY
    Please ensure that you comply with safety warnings and instructions displayed at our premises as we shall not be liable for any loss, damages, harm or injuries sustained. Entry to our premises is at guests own risk.

  9. SWIMMING POOL
    Please note that diving into and the running and playing around the swimming pool may result in injuries and you are prohibited to do so. Children under the age of 12 (twelve) may only use the pool under strict supervision of a parent. Strictly no glass or bottles inside the swimming pool area We shall not be liable for any damage, loss, harm, injury or death caused as a result of your failure to comply
    strictly with this safety warning and/or your failure to ensure proper supervision of children and/or your gross negligence or reckless actions.

  10. NOISE LEVELS
    We strive to ensure a pleasurable stay to all our guests and you are requested to reduce noise levels between 22h00 and 07h00 so as not to cause a disturbance or nuisance to fellow guests. Please take note that we are situated in a eco-sensitive area.

  11. SMOKING REGULATIONS
    Our chalets are subject to the No Smoking Laws and we therefore cannot allow smoking inside of the chalets. Failure to conform to this restriction may result in an additional amount of R1,500.00 (one thousand, five hundred Rand) being added to your account to cover the cost of a special valet service.

  12. LIABILITY
    The Guest(s) indemnifies Elizabeth Barns t/a Eventide Lodge, its directors, officers, domestics, contractors, sub-contractors, agents or any other persons acting on behalf of Eventide Lodge (hereinafter “Eventide Lodge”) (whether in contract or delict) from any loss or damage (including consequential or special damages or loss of profits), loss of life, bodily injury or damage or loss of property of whatsoever nature and whether or not caused by the negligence (gross or otherwise) of Eventide Lodge, its directors, servants, officers, agents or any other persons acting on behalf of
    Eventide Lodge, which may be caused to or suffered or sustained by the Guest(s) or any other third party arising out of, incidental to or connected in any way with this agreement or otherwise.

 

CANCELLATION POLICY

Kindly take note that in the event of you cancelling your booking/reservation, we shall impose a reasonable cancellation fee as follows: 

 

50% of the TOTAL cost of stay if you cancel 14 (fourteen) days or less of the arrival date
 

A cancellation fee of 30% of the deposit will be charged should cancellation be made between a month and 14 days prior to arrival date.

 

A small administration fee of 10% will be levied for cancellations made more than a month prior to arrival date Please note that a cancellation fee will not be charged if the reason for the cancellation is due to the hospitalization or death of any of the persons for whom the booking was made, provided that we receive acceptable written proof of the reasons for cancellation. 

Please take note that any cancellation must be made in writing and e-mailed or hand delivered to us. Kindly ensure that you provide us with a written confirmation of the bank details we should use to make a refund, if applicable. Any refund due to you will be made with 14 working days after receipt of the required information.
